Kill Bill sequel and prequel talk in here

It will be interesting anyway how strong the influence of KB will be in the coming years of filmmaking. Hopefully it has a good impact like Pulp and we’ll get a few good films. QT will still be the master, though.

I hope he moves on. (for now at least) The Bond remake sounds awesome imo. Inglorious Bastards should be next though.

I couldn’t agree more. IB should be next!

I do, however, think that the Bond remake is now out of the picture considering that Pierce Brosnan is unlikely to return as James Bond (the adaptation of Casino Royale was originally intended as Brosnan’s fifth and final James Bond film).

damn, Casino Royale would have been cool. If it’s gonna be something smaller he should do a Giallo picture. I think he mentioned it in the FANGORIA interview. Doesn’t seem like he would need too much money and could probably put it out quick. I want Inglorious Bastards real bad though! ;D

hi all … i’m an italian fan of quentin “a fuckin’ genius” tarantino , and i’m new on this forum

i think that casino royale it’s so cool, and the future remake from qt too… but also inglorious bastards (title from quel maledetto treno blindato (1977), but u know already :stuck_out_tongue:) and sin city (robert rodriguez film, with a segment direct by quentin) are very cool 8)…

i think that tarantino have many projects, and have anything else to do… i don’t believe that quentin make this remake in the next years…

p.s. sorry for my bad english :’(

When people talk about sequels and prequels, I start thinking: George Lucas, Phantom Menace.

I kinda feel like this kind of thing cheapens the value of the original movie. Im not into turning every fuckin movie into a franchise. I can take an Anime prequel maybe it will be put on the Super Duper Kill Bill DVD boxset. But this notion of sequelizing everything bugs me.

Exactly. In my opinion, if it doesn’t star the bride, than it’s not fit as a sequel. Beyond the shitty dialogue, over-use of CGI, and jar jar binks, the main reason i hated the other star wars movies (the first two and most definitely 3) is because they didn’t follow the characters from the 4th 5th and 6th. Now shut the fuck up if you’re about to write “but he couldn’t make a prequel with those characters. They’d be too young” no shit. Don’t make a fucking prequel. However, a Kill Bill 3 would still probably be great, but i just don’t think it fits into the whole thing.

I’d rather see a Kill Bill prequel with Uma as the Bride and the other DIVAS killing for Bill and having little adventures together instead of seeing a 90 minute movie where Vernita’s daughter tries to murder the Bride.

Exactly. Just as long as it doesn’t become some cheap series. I still think would be cool in Animatrix style - a few different stories that can focus on different characters and how they ended up where they were in Vol.1 & 2. That way Tarantino can just write the script for it and let Production IG take care of the anime (i presume/hope they’d do the prequel considering they did the film).

I personally would hate any prequels or sequels if they’re anime, they’d just be worthy to be special features on the DVD.

That’s where i’d want them to end up aswell. A nice big special edition boxset with Vol.1 & 2 cut together with extra footage, the anime prequel, and jam-packed with special features… that’s what dreams are made of!

EXACTLY! If he wanted to do something smaller before IB, this should be it. Writing the script and supervising a bit is a much smaller job than any James Bond flick.

What about a ‘Yuki’s Revenge’ story? Considering that the idea of Gogo’s sister was cut from the film, it seems perfect to do a short anime film about it. Maybe one about Nikki as a teenager, or about how O-Ren got to be head of the Japanese mafia would be good too?

What other Anime stories could there be?

a day in the life of Sofie the Stub

Chillin at the bar with Hanzo.

The history of Pai Mei.

The true story of the Crazy 88.

Bill betraying Hanzo

Deadly vipers in action

I opened up my paper today and in the Entertainment section theres a whole blurb with QTs pic saying that he wants to do the sequel with Nikki, etc. He also said he wants it to be like his “Dollars Trilogy”.

I kinda think QT gets overexcited about this stuff and he starts spouting off about what he wants to do next. For all we know, he may never even do this. He said it wouldnt be for like 15 years anyway. So who cares.

I’ll begin with what I heard and believe would be extremely cool to see in the next Volume. We know a few things for a fact, and that is that Nikki will seek revenge on the Bride for the killing of her mother. We know that Sophie survived and that she got all of Bill’s money. Sophie adopted Nikki and is training her to become a killing machine. And finally in an article that I read it stated that QT plans on putting the Bride in a wheelchair in Volume III, it appears she has lost the ability to move her legs.

Now this is where I think the story should go…From what we know so far we have Sophie with no arms but has Nikki. The Bride has no legs but has B.B. Now this is the point were I believe QT should introduce a new assassin. An assassin to aid the woman with no eyes…Elle Driver. It should more than likely be a man so the whole gender thing could get a little balanced out. How cool would it be to see that showdown?

Any thoughts on my story?

Great

QT goes George Lucas

Oh, well, let’s hope for the best.
