Which one did you prefer?

just got done watching grindhouse again this time the 2nd time i seen it…planet terror seemed the worst the the second time i seen it although i will still hold my first review and say the film is great but it doesent age well…death proof on the other hand just gets better every time you watch it.

Death proof. However, the dialogue seemed like someone else trying to write like QT. I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

i think he should go back to doing movies about crime he writes much better in that genre.

i put both. i was extremely dissapointed with Death Proof until things started to get interesting towards the end. i’ve always loved Tarantino’s dialog but in this one it’s just too plain. it’s very, very realistic but just not as interesting as usual. all of Stuntman Mike’s dialog is excellent though. the end of the movie was just so mind blowing and awesome that it made up for the slow start and made it another instant classic tarantino film.

oh and i agree with whoever it was that mentioned the pregnancy scene in kill bill. “any other time you’d be 100% right, but this time you are 100% wrong” :frowning:

speaking of bad tarantino dialog the scene in Pulp Fiction with Butch and Vincent at the bar is HORRIBLE

That dialogue in Death Proof is awesome. I just rewatched it again yesterday and everytime I get to those Reservoir Cats scenes I like them more. Its the “hanging out” aspect of the film. You get to know them and pick up their little in jokes and personalities. It also makes the action scenes better. Instead of just having one empty action scene after another, QT puts the stove on simmer and breaks things up. Brings you back into reality. Then later I love when Zoes on the hood and Abby finally lets loose and at the perfect point QT brings in the Thunder Alley music. Death Proof is just like Jackie B, its gonna get better with age. Fuckin legendary mate.

i love that scene However I agree on the dialog of the pregnancy scene…

maybe the reason the dialog dident appeal was because in reservoir dogs it because most of the people on here who dont like (im not really sure if they are) it like myself are men and cant relate to a womens conversation with each other around a table.

I love that part.

"The dialogue betwen Butch and Vincent at the bar is terrible"

Riiiiiight.

that bar scene is great and pretty funny punchy ahahhahaa.

and i love both Bruce Willis and Travolta’s faces when they deliver their lines, they are hysterical

I wouldn’t worry about it Ify.

i wouldn’t either, beside IB being a period piece, the dialog (and the music!) will be different.

I didnt hate ANYTHING in Death Proof. I loved that story because it was REAL. That happened to Zoe when she was in Beijing doing Kill Bill. The 7 minute long take was also awesome.

I like Robert but just because someone does all diff aspects of filmmaking doesnt automatically mean Im gonna love ALL their work. Yes hes talented, but he still isnt QT. I’m a QT fan first. And I dont hate Robert.

I don’t hate anything in DP, it just didn’t have the coolness of his other films unfortunately.

I’m finding it really hard to choose between the two. Seriously loved PT. Can’t make up my mind, gotta be both.
