To answer you: I found Laurent’s performance mediocre, Ido’s one catastrophic. Plus I found the Shosanna/Zoller dialogues about movie love badly written. On the other hand, Brühl’s very good and the whole restaurant scene (Mondino, Strudel) is a great one and it does save this chapter.
