What's his next project after Inglourious basterds?

[quote=“Pete”]
OK I was reading my local paper yesterday and Liz Smith (Rumor Queen) stated that Quentin Tarantino is going to be making a film called WEEKEND with Sharon Stone and Jennifer Beals after Basterds. What the HELL?!!

Also is this a remake of Godard’s film? I dont know. Who comes up with this stuff?

Maybe it was a joke. Did she say what the flick was supposed to be about or just that that was his next movie?

It sounded like it was movie news for real. But then its just a gossip column, so its probably BS. I just dont get where these rumors start. Its so random and weird.

I love Weekend. And it might be a good move for Quentin to do a remake or an adaption, especially after the mad rush he’s had to go through to finish basterds.

A piece about the rumor. As long as we’re talking about it.

i would love if Quentin did a straight up giallo…we got little hints of it in Kill Bill

Word to the wise. I remember seeing QT in an old clip from the 90’s talking about a remake of Django, the macabre western that was banned. A fantastic film.

Thanks for the heads up.

i think it would be awesome if he did a movie that shows what happens with jules winfield after he quits his life in crime…and i think he should become a biker…but i think he is going to do a gangster film, like he has been saying for some time…he thinks it would be interesting to revisit the genre now, so i think its likely thats what he is going to do…and kill bill vol3 right after

That’s just an bad idea. I hope he do an adaption, with his own spin. Something new and fresh.

whats the bad idea, the jules thing?

I don’t think it’s a bad idea. I mean, if QT wanted to do it, which he doesn’t, but if it did, I wouldn’t dis it.

I mean, he has done IB, wisch he talked about for years now. He has confirmed the Kill Bill 3, and talked about several others projects over the years. I just hope he does … I don’t know, no genre-movie or something, just something new and unexpected … something we never seen from Tarantino before.

actually…i think i have seem him somewhere saying that it would be interesting to tell what happened with jules…but, even if he never doesnt, what he probably wont, i still would like to see him making a biker movie…because he is very good at making episodic stories, and that seems ideal for a biker movie…

it could be like a “tarantinesque Don Quixote”, with many characters and stories…that would be fun, i think

Whats Cowgirls in Sweden about?

QT will go back to the crime genre, he should make like a 40s period piece film noir, he’d be fucking great at that. Basterds was his first period piece and he knocked it out of the ballpark.

I know we’ve been saying this for years, but I think it would be great if QT made a proper Western next. He touched on it in Kill Bill and significantly more so in Inglourious Basterds, but I would really like to see an all-out Western. The Coen Brothers, P.T Anderson and Andrew Dominik really excelled in their work in the genre and I think QT should join them. Obviously it would have to be something completely different to what they did, but never would the definition of Revisionist Western be more apt. The tone of those three films were fairly similar, and IB for the most part was also quite serious, so it’s not like he would HAVE to have a lot of humour in it. When I saw that opening scene of IB, it immediately confirmed my belief that QT could make a fucking brilliant Western!

Hahaha, I’ve always hoped of this. Jules is truggling to live a normal life, but runs into Butch, and Jules gets his vendetta against Butch, for killing Vincent. Wonderful!
