Well. Make sure it’s properly formatted, no spelling mistakes, no grammer mistakes or punctuation mistakes. And don’t forget structure. I had a big problem with that subject. Here’s a link to a forum link on that subject with some good info on structure. <LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.tarantino.info/forum/index.p … 360.0.html”>http://www.tarantino.info/forum/index.php/topic,4360.0.html</LINK_TEXT>
Now read it again. Make sure it’s what you really want it to be.
After you’ve done all that. Register it with the WGA (writer’s guild of America). I prefer them, and I prefer the west coast. Costs about 10 bucks or more. Then copywrite it. That’s if you live in the states.
If you are overseas I’m not sure what to do, someone help me out with that.
Now that you’ve done that, you can enter it into different contests for exposure and money. Find out the names of smaller independant studio’s and production studio’s, as well as the big guys. Send them query letters, asking them if they would like to read your screenplay and see what happens.
It’s a process. Good luck. I’m on my way to that process this year.
