I’ll tell you what sucks, The Man Who Wasn’t There![/quote]
WHaaaaaat ?! That movie is so underrated. And I won't go into the "only real fans love it" even if I do think so, ahah. The movie is a huge achievement, in terms of directing (the atmosphere is awesome, I love the slow rythm and the slowmotion shots), cinematography (don't tell me it sucks), the actors are awesome (Billy Bob Thornon ? Frances McDormand ? James Gandolfini ? Scarlett Johansson ? Jon Polito ?).
Now it's your turn, why didn't you like it ? And don't tell me it's boring cause believe me, Burn After Reading is a MINOR movie in the Coen bros filmography. And mostly new audience, new fans of the brothers are loving it. So if you love Burn After Reading, and not this movie, you haven't understood anything in the Coen bros style.
Oh btw, just remember you said you dislike any movie made before the 70s, just replied to that post that your movie education isn't over at all. And I do believe it even more. You probably can't enjoy The Man Who Wasn't There or any film noir hommage from the Coen since you probably haven't seen any film noirs. All the best ones have been directed BEFORE the 70s.
