Bad dialogue to me is dialogue that tries too hard to be cool. Someone mentioned Lucky Number Slevin. There were so many moments in that film where I felt that the writer was trying too hard to write “cool” dialogue. Natural dialogue just flows from Tarantino naturally. He doesn’t force it. Forcing it is the worst thing you can do when writing.
