Wes Anderson
Also, no one uses music to perfection in movies like Tarantino and him.
Cameron Crowe and The Coen Brothers (in Big Lebowski and O Brother)

Okay, I’d give it to you for the Coens if it was for all(or even most) of their movies, but I can’t. They use pretty good music, but still need to work on it (Putting Spencer Davis Groups’ Gimme Your Lovin’ in the commercials won me over). O Brother was amazing though. AND Camercon Crowe? What are you smoking? Almost Famous has good music, but it isn’t genius in the way it’s fit into the film.

Wes Anderson is a genius

I love the music in Vanilla Sky. Almost Famous is great too. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen Jerry Maguire but I remember loving Shelter In The Storm at the end of the film.

I think Wes Anderson is one of the greatest directors today. Rushmoore is absolutly one of my favortie films. Jason Schwartzman is awsome in that movie. He’s also in the the movies Spun- which I think is awsome.

If Quentin is the geek of the schoolyard, then Wes Anderson is that kid nobody wanted to go near, you know, the gangly looking cat who kept to himself. I love the guy. He is like the Federico Fellini of our time!

Would you be so kind and use the search bar before opening a new topic? And - btw - check out the right playe for anew topic...

On the whole music in film issue, how could you go on with this discussion without mentioning Paul Thomas Anderson?!

Just read here:

I was talking about things posted in this topic. Lay off a little.

I’m looking forward to that Mr. Fox movie. Are there any oompaloompas in that one?

I think Wes’s movies are like archaeological digs–full of buried treasures. Except that last one, which was more like tut exhumed, with all the spirits running around with no place to go.

Did any body notice that alot of those people were all wearing red hats? What was that about? Maybe it was just coincidence, or maybe I’m a real attentive movie watcher.

Does Wes ever wear hats I wonder brilliantly? That guy Owen ought to wear one that he can pull down over his face–what a leach: sheesh. Go do a karate chop or kiss two broads at once, or whatever it is you do with your time off.

I’ve got a mad crush on this guy. Some of the many pictures I have:

Also, he’s living in Paris right now and supposedly working on The Fantastic Mr. Fox, which is a claymated feature with Henry Selick, who was the REAL director and maker of Nightmare Before Christmas…not that hack Tim Burton (sell out!)

Hat wearing: (he has such great style, and as a girl myself I often do his blazer, scarf look!)

Such a fantastic guy!

Wes Anderson is a great director,im hoping in the next ten years he will make more classics.

Bottle Rocket - 1994

Original 13 minute short film.

Bottle Rocket follows three friends (Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson and Robert Musgrave) as they attempt to become gangsters…

The short film was originally set to feature established actors but because of the low budget, the main characters were given to brothers Owen Wilson and Luke Wilson, who had never been in a movie before.

Robert Musgrave … Bob Hanson

Temple Nash … Himself

Elissa Sommerfield … Waitress

Luke Wilson … Anthony Adams

Owen Wilson … Dignan

Wes Anderson … Director
