I’m a long time lurker in this forum but I was talking to a friend who is also a big fan of the movie and this question came up. I haven’t saw it discussed anywhere, (I might have missed it), so I decided to post it.
Were you surprised that the fact that the Bride didn’t kill Budd never came up in the closing sequence? The first time I saw the movie I actually thought that would be thing that would allow the Bride and Bill to bury the hatchet, for their daughter, if nothing else. (The Bride gets her revenge by dispatching three of her assailants, including Bill’s new live-in but allows Bill to live so her daughter can have a father. Bill has no reason to be mad at the Bride because she killed (sort of) Elle who had killed Bill’s brother.) Plus. it just seemed very Tarantinoian that he would make a movie called Kill Bill where Bill didn’t get killed. (BTW I would’ve have liked that ending but that’s were I though he was going.) Hallf-assed conjecturing aside, I was surprised that Budd’s death never even came up again in the movie after it happened.

Im sorry, but thats STUPID. Bea’s main anger and hatred, was for Bill. The rest of the assassins, were basically just her co-workers. Killing is what they do. They were just doing what they were told to do. The reason the entire massacre happened was because Bea left Bill and deceived him. The DiVAS had no part of it. There were no Personal Politics regarding the DiVAS. It was BILL that really deserved Bea’s hatred. Bea just killed them because they all helped Bill in fucking her over. For Bea to kill them (the ones that dont matter as much) and spare the life of Bill, would be ABSOLUTELY PREPOSTOUROUS
