for those of you who say they tried to make heroin cool what in the fuck are you doing on this website? vincent vega is quite possibly the collest cat ever captured on film and i know he shot some dope and he lokked like he was feelin great. that said trainsptting is a masterpiece if only for opening up the minds of young american audiences to the greatest of filmmakers in other parts of the world
I love Trainspotting it’s one of the few movies I watched the first time, then rewound, then watched again, I think I watched it later that night too.
other drug movies that I think kick ass are
Reqium for a Dream
Rush
Gridlocked
I know there are others but can’t think of them
I recently saw Spun, I liked it, but I thought it relied to heavy of alot of Reqium’s ideas.
BLOW,
RENT DRUGSTORE COWBOYwith matt dillon its an excellent drug flick
trainspotting is pretty cool. the book is even better.
btw, I deleted the “trainspotting SE” topic
i’m a big fan of the book, and i also appreciated the movie, even though i think it cut out some of the best parts.
i haven’t read ‘porn’, though, is it any good? i can’t really think of a sequel, not with the same visual strenght, but i could be wrong…
Carlyle Wants ‘Trainspotting’ Sequel
Robert Carlyle is desperate for Ewan McGregor and director Danny Boyle to settle their feud, because he would love to star in Trainspotting sequel Porno. Anxious Trainspotting fans have been eagerly anticipating the film version of author Irvine Welsh’s hit sequel for years - but ever since McGregor and director Boyle clashed over Leonardo DiCaprio’s casting in The Beach, the sequel has been shelved. But Carlyle remains convinced filming would be fun if the two could settle their egotistical differences. He says, “I have to say I’ve never been approached by anyone about it. I would hope to do it again because we had a great time the last time; some friendships I made on that film have continued to this day, and that’s quite rare. The opportunity to work with Danny again would be fantastic.”
let’s hope, it definitly diserves a sequal
When they make sequels of already existing subject matter, as in teh case of the book, Porno, they usually turn out good, not like when a sequel is made for money.
That would be sweet if it got a sequel though, i love trainspotting!
