yup, it’s a business after all. and it’s about popularity. But nobody is stopping you from watching Cassavetes’ movies or smaller films. Don’t they make a lot of smaller, intimate movies today, too?

Which reminds me that I’ve seen “Last Chanche Harvey” lately. Which definately falls into that category. Was a good movie.

You just compared LAST CHANCE HARVEY to Cassavetes?

I could teach you a lot about the idea that some movies suck and other rock. The different between films with real emotions and the one with the type that goes for the obvious emotional buttons to get money.

As I’ve done before, I compare it to a lover who wants to get in your pants so they manipulate you, play with you and leave you feeling empty after then there’s real lovers who send a shiver down your spine just be putting their fingernail against your cheek. Who you love even through the painfully awkward moments that are later humorous.

Rachel Getting Married is more an example of the new wave of Cassavetes-esque films than Last Chance Harvey…
