Totally agree. I’m definitely behind the increase in big budget quality, but not at the expense of the art. I look at a film like Public Enemies or even Star Trek(of which I was lukewarm) as examples of the kinds of bigger budget fair we should be seeing as opposed to the films coming out very recently. The guys at Pixar have the right idea. Is it so much to ask that films with bloated budgets still contain some semblence of a soul?
