Great film, better than Ong-Bak in my opinion. The action is just as mindblowing as I expect it to be. There is a few prolems, though. First of all the whole film (including action scenes) would benefit from better editing. For the second they need to find more worthy opponents for Tony Jaa. Most of the time he seems totally unstoppable, with no one even being able to touch him. But those things are just minor flaws. Even with the not-so-perfect editing all the action scenes are absolutely great. One of the fight scenes even counts as one of my all time favourites. Overall I would say the action choreography is on the same level as Sha Po Lang. SPL had better editing, but TYG has better physical performances. 8,5/10
I own the unsubbed Thai dvd myself (which I naturally subbed myself) but here’s the good news: it has been confirmed the Korean release has english subtitles.
