Bill is (as QT says) the ‘ultimate corrupter.’ He’s not necessarily a sadist or an ‘evil’ guy, so much as he does what he feels he needs to do, and has a very convincing way about him. I would agree that Elle is more evil than Bill, but that is not to imply that Bill is not evil himself. He’s just not as open about it (as is evident by the fact that he sends his divas out to kill rather than do it himself).

I don’t see O-Ren as being sympathetic, but I do see her as being honorable.
