he didn’t get whacked - the last scene was supposed to make you understand that this guy lives in constant stress - constantly worrying about who may try to kill him, constantly worrying about his dead-beat son, his wife who is so fucking empty that she constantly buys shit she doesn’t need, his daughter who is quickly turning into a guinea pig…the list goes on and on.
