Series 2-11 Utter genius. I actually cant have one conversation without referencing it, its become a language - theres a joke to fit every occasion.

since about 2000 its really been the pits the last episode i acutally liked was the homer marajuana one…but this movie looks like its really gonna suck balls. The simpsons used to be so subtle and clever but its just not funny anymore its so lame now.

On a more positive note one of my fave quotes from the vigilante episode:

HOMER - "…and I said: your car was upside down when we got here buddy and as for your grandma she shouldn’t have mouthed off like that!"

Classic!

They said it’s gonna be nothing like the trailer. I have a lot of faith in it. I also liked the newer seasons, you just have to get yourself adjusted properly, you still feel the old style. As long as they have the old voice actors and some of the old team, things can’t go wrong, after over 10 seasons of greatness I believe they know what they’re doing, alright.

Haven’t seen the 17th though. Somebody told me it was lame. But whatever, they also say it about 13th and later. I loved the 16th season

Well most people hate the new simpsons seasons but i love them, i’ve always loved them.

The only Simpson’s episodes I don’t like are the newer ones where they seemed to be travelling around the world. Some of the jokes were lame. But now they have gone back to normal again. It’s still very VERY funny and shits all over Family Guy. It takes a lot to come up with fresh original humour after all these seasons, but The Simpsons is still managing to make me laugh. The lastest one I saw was “Homerazzi” I think it was called. But I didn’t like how there was some kind of moral there that they wanted you to learn. Apart from that, it was brilliant. Nothing will ever top The Simpsons. Not now, not ever.

A LOT of Simpsons episodes contain a moral, a lot of them are tearjerkers and stuff, but they always manage to end up with a joke still, and eventually it is never too serious.

If they did not ever try to go deeper than just comedy, they would not have that quality. Some episodes are pure comedy, some are serious. I love the diversity, it’s got a lot of dimensions

Yes, but that’s the thing. I expected them to make a big joke of it, but it was a proper moral thing. They were being far too serious.

I like the first few seasons but the newer ones are kinda lame. The 400th episode looks good 8)

Mr. Plow was the shit. My favortie line from the Simpsons: “Get it Bart? Hardy har har!”.

…maybe that was the second or third episode?

Marge: We can’t just give up on our house. There’s got to be a way to get these guys out of here.

Bart: I say we set fire to the house, kill em that way.

Marge: We don’t want to kill them, Bart. We just want our home back.

Lisa: (thinking it over) Well, if we did set fire to the house…

Marge: No fires!

Homer: I’ve got it!

Marge: No fires!

Homer: Aw.

Marge: There must be a way to outsmart them.

Homer: Uh, you can’t outsmart carnival folk. They’re the cleverest folk in the world. Just look at the way they sucker regular folks with those crooked games. (gasping) That’s it! Fire!

We can’t just give up on our house, Ify! We can’t! Think about the children! Don’t leave me, Ify! I’m warning you! I’m going to get every last penny out of you, you selfish workaholic piece of shit. I carried your children for 9 months and you still treat me like I’m worthless. Fuck you, Ify. Things are about to change.

#14

They played music from Vol.I in last weeks episode (Chapter 5 music - airplane sequence), that was pretty cool.

#15

I definitely enjoy the older Simpsons more looking back on some older episodes. The newer ones I find are still pretty good, but you get these really awful ones more and more. I still never wanted it to end tho, it’s been on as long as I’ve been alive.

anyone ever see the tom savini episode i always wanted to see it and i thought i would post this… if anyone has not seen it yet. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6UwYahJrpto
