Anybody wants to see a fucked up design? You’re more than welcome http://www.hanzos.com/boards/. One of the reasons I can’t stand the place.

This forum is the most user friendly I’ve seen, Seb, don’t you ever change smileys without at least making a poll.
[/quote]

I can’t stand people making stupid rules about avatars and sigs. Yeah I think every other member deserves a big sig. I don’t understand why is my SPL sig too big. How big is it compared to a denis?

the point is, that we’ve set rules for limits of signature pictures, so that nobody choses big-as-shit signature pictures that span the entire page. that’s a simple rule and it makes sense. if you don’t like it, nobody forces you a) to have one at all or b) to stay here. by signing up you agreed to the rules. period

yeah we’ll add some smilies someday  maybe an ify-smiley ;_)

An Ify-smilie would be great!

Also, my earlier issue was basically that on other forums, the smilies enhance the forum quality. They also help the poster say or come across how they want. The smilies you have at the moment are pretty simple and although you have improved them (you have removed the thick edges, thanks!) they still aren’t as good as on other forums. A few from another forum:

See, they aren’t over-the-top, they’re simple yet effective. A lot of times, people aren’t sure in what tone a message is meant to come across as, smilies such as these will help that. Not to mention they’ll brighten the board up a little bit

EDIT:

Even Seb doesn’t like the smilies. I’ve never seen him use one. In fact, subconsciously he thinks the smilies are shit, he’ll much rather make a smilie using semi-colons, a dash and a closed-bracket.

I would like to see a pink color ify smiley to show how faggot he is.

I want a 75 smiley, yeah.

Smileys improve forum quality?? I dare not to imagine how your texts look in MSN messenger.

How about you stop your ridicuolous rape fantasies? All that shit you talk is ok for Hanzo’s, just don’t bring that shit here. I swear, one more rape comment and you’ll see!!

Haha, contrary to what I say here, I hardly ever use smilies in an MSN messenger conversation. In fact, I very rarely even type the shorter versions of words. Smilies improve the forum quality in terms of how the message is said and how it comes across. eg.

Instead of:

"Omfg that is like really good. I really like the birds in the picture, I know it’s cliche but I don’t care and it doesn’t look so dark, I love you mwah mwah, you’re a genius, aren’t you cold? My darling, you might catch a cold in that snow. Dude."

Maybe someone would use:

Keep it up. I love the way you’ve shot the birds.

Indeed. My sincere apologies.

I love every comment on everything I’ve made, INCLUDING smiley full comments. Everybody does. But I hate smiley ridden forums, they don’t improve quality, never.
