I include directors and year of release too, and the lowest selling price on the Amazon.com marketplace. That way I know which dvds are the most valuable/rare/sought after.
I’ve got additional info for each title too. In cells from left to right: film / dvd title, film production year, dvd region, number of discs, publisher, rating for film, rating for technical quality, rating for extras, notes (if needed).
(click for large version)
I used to have my collection online… and no shitty dvdaficionado, dvd profiler or any other good for nothing piece of crap program, but 100% handwork. The idea was that I could list each title (inc. those 500 from my collection that aren’t in the dvdaficionado database) with accurate technical info and cover art pic… but it was too much work. I couldn’t keep up anymore

I dont think Im going to. Its too much work at this point. I actually had a DVD list on my computer and I havent updated it in a long time. I think I stopped at around 450.

I try to update the list at least once a year, and dedicate a column to a percentage increase/decrease in value during that particular year. It’s a good method to get to know which dvds become OOP (they’re usually the most expensive).
wow old topic, just read through some of the 2003 posts. good times
