Awww, for fucks sake. I was well looking-forward to a Morricone-only score in a QT film for once. 'Tis a sad day. Oh well, I guess it’s back to the tried and tested formula.
Wow, this is a sad sad news… What else can I say…
Maybe it really is for the better. Instead of what could have been decent brand new Morricone he can now use awesome (already existing) music.
I really wanted IB to have an original Morricone score. Then it’d be IB music, not such and such AND IB music.
I to was excited but at least now we get a pure Quentin soundtrack.
ah SHIT! okay fine we will (porbbaly) have a genuine quentin soundtrack, which is nice, but cmon seriously guys… morricone? that wudve been fuckin awesome.
i wudnt mind robert contributing a little he did a great job on vol.2, with his epic stuff. really like that.

I didn’t like some of what he did in Vol 2. For some scenes like “the massacre at two pines” which was so well done, acted, shot, written, his music lacked any sublety… but that’s me. A lot of it was very very good though don’t get me wrong.
it seems like this whole morricone thing was always more rumor than certainty. i’m sure there was an intention there at some point, but this whole thing just didnt happen. quentin will do his soundtrack just like he always does it
This is terrible news. Could of been amazing now i doubt it will be as amazing as it could of been (music wise of course).
Still things happen for a reason I guess and maybe there’s a collaboration down the road somewhere but if I was QT i wouldn’t work with Ennio Morricone again after having him cancel twice now. Boo! Morricone is a score-God but come on…
Harsh to say this, but I rather hear pure QT soundtrack than Morricone one. Don’t spank me.

Me too, I think it’ll be way better to have 100% QT choices than 100% new Morricone stuff.
That kind of music will be used? I’am sure Quentin will use some morricone tracks and some tracks from movies like dirty dozen, kelly’s heros and eagle has landed. But who knows?
he’ll do the soundtrack as he always does it. he picks music from there and there… just let yourself be surprised. I on the other hand, wouldn’t be surprised to see tunes from the above mentioned films pop up, or from old German movies, or macaroni combat classics, or other spaghetti western morricone stuff… it’ll be as pop crazy awesome as the movie

I can’t wait to hear it. His soundtracks have been equally good throughout all his films.
OR maybe he allows Robert Rodriguez to score it, maybe a little implausible submission but still it’s not impossibility.

Oh yeah but now any guess from you, Seb, will be suspicious, maybe the man whispered something about the music, who knows…
the last few things i posted on this topic are basically indirect quotes from the man, and i’ve also said that at least twice i think
I was about to point that out the other day when I read this: a homage to pre-1940s German cinema, Italian Macaroni Combat movies …that’s a start anyway.
