You are Mr. Pink. No one else would include the fact about an Academy Award, when no one else on this board alone gives a shit about an Oscar.[/quote]
All im saying is that I dont know why someone can call a movie overrated when it didnt win an Oscar. Beacause most movies that people call overrated usually win Oscars.
Then again, same as I said once on this board : take Taxi Driver or Raging Bull, some user was here saying they were overrated films, BUT they didn’t win any oscars.

Awards don’t matter, Lili.
Taxi Driver and Raging Bull can’t be rated high enough though. How could either of these movies be overrated?

They’re overrated in comparison to their underrated superior: The King of Comedy.
i agree that King of Comedy is an underrated gem but its nowhere as good as either Taxi Driver or Raging Bull…as an overall work both of those films have a lot more going on in terms of film technique and this combined with the plot and performances makes them better films. Don’t get me wrong King of Comedy is great but its basicaly shot in television style…

Ahah, I know ! Who do you think I am ? I was just replying to Basterd101 stupid logic saying a movie can’t be overrated when it didn’t win any oscar.

I know you didn’t get me right, cause you know me too well. But for those who don’t, just saying : I LOVE Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, and I’ll never think they’re overrated. I was just -again- using this stupid logic. And since another user said on another thread that he didn’t like these movies and finds them overrated, that’s why I used that exemple again.

I’m running out of jokes…
Would you like some salt with Palahniuk’s dick?
- That would actually be a great last line for a film, i challange you to make a 2 hr film all leading up to this as its last line…ok go!

Too busy writing stuff that matters.
I’ll leave it to you, Boyle. I expect a weekly report!
The final monologue of A Bronx tale was pretty good.
“Sonny and my father always said that when I get older I would understand. Well, I finally did. I learned something from these two men. I learned to give love and get love unconditionally. You just have to accept people for what they are, and I learned the greatest gift of all. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent, and the choices that you make will shape your life forever. But you can ask anybody from my neighborhood, and they’ll just tell you this is just another Bronx tale.” - A Bronx Tale.
