There are no missions in Super Mario Brothers 3, but I believe I know what you’re talking about.
Close to the very right end of the room, there should be a few ‘?’ blocks; just before the incline to the right. What you want to do is fly above this. This is tricky, but you’ll eventually get it. Above is the pipe that leads the way out. It should be surrounded by blocks.
