I bought an Xbox 360 Premium earlier this week after deciding I definitely want one after playing Pro Evolution Soccer 6 on it. I gotta say, the console fucking owns. I have Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Oblivion so far, and Pro Evo 6 should be arriving in a couple of days.
I had a massive co-op session with my mate on GoW, and it is exactly how I thought it would be. I got it just because it was a must-have game for a 360 owner and because it has the best graphics on the 360 at the moment. Well it looked really good, and was fun, but it’s not really my kind of game. It’s too repetitive, fairly simple and doesn’t have much depth. After completing it, I’m going to exchange it for Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter which was my plan from the beginning.
Only really bought the 360 for Oblivion and PES 6, so the other games are a bonus. Also got 2 wireless controllers with it and that Live Arcade bollocks.
So far so good, and it looks absolutely fucking stunning on my 37" HDTV!! I’ll have to play it on a small CRT TV at uni though, but I’m not fussed as atleast I’ll be able to listen to it in 5.1 Surround Sound.
I have exams on in a few weeks so busy studying for them, so the 360 will serve as a good source of anti-stress.
