I might be seeing the movie in a Drive-In(big maybe)
this might be a downer for everyone but it seems that death proof won’t be ready for April… There were supposed to have a big Grindhouse party at the Cannes film festival in may… but guess what? it just turned out to be a Planet Terror party because…tarantino will still be in the editing room. Also … it seems that the weinstein Co wants to release the films separately WORLDWIDE (US included)…

Yes, proof would be nice. If youre going to make those statements, you better have something in writing from a newspaper or from QT himself.
Also, the whole concept of Grindhouse is for the two movies to be shown together with the trailers etc. If DP doesnt show, neither will PT (unless youre outside the USA). Its just not gonna happen.

guys I told you my source: the french distributor TFM at a distributor convention… (TFM being co-owned by the Weinstein Co)… and as far as I am concerned, an info relayed by professionals to other professionals is more believable than a “newspaper statement”… now don’t turn mob on me this is not my choice I am just relaying the info I got 5 days ago… I thought that was this forum was made for … having say that I hope I am wrong too 
QTs doing a 90 minute film. Realistically, how long would it take for Sally Menke (an expert) to edit that down (QT knows exactly what he wants) if they were working day in day out for 4 or 5 months? Thats BS. This isnt a 3 hour Kill Bill film.

haha, of course! I’ve been there maybe twice before. Unfortunately, I could see myself enjoying only a couple of films there.
They show two movies for the price of one so cant beat that. I just wonder if they show Grindhouse will they also show another movie after? hmm… doesnt matter I just hope they will show it since its the ulitimate drive in movie!
anyone know any cool off-beat rare movie theaters in the phoenix area? i know there’s a drive in close to one of the reservation lands off of the interstate 17 or something… but i’m not sure
