I got strip-searched at Chicago O’Hare. Just cos I had an attitude with the little prick that wanted to randomly check everything in my bag and on my person.
Random checks = faking the fact they’re still profiling, whilst annoying the shite out of whomever falls victim to it.
I don’t know about terrorists, but I was discussing the other day with some female friends who I would be more worried about in a dark alley. These are STEREOTYPES, but people of recent African and/or Asian descent to not come off as being as threatening to me as black and white Canadian and Americans (men who are obviously from Africa or whose parents are tend to be the nicest. They are extraordinarily friendly and polite). Basically, men that are more “americanized” typically seem to have a lot less respect for women (at least publically), at least in Canada. Remember, these are stereotypes, but in my experience men who have recently immigrated, or whose parents are immigrants, tend to be much more polite and non threatening. Once again STEREOTYPES, but I just think it’s interesting, (I understand that in many places of the world women are not treated kindly, I am just referring to my experiences as a Canadian woman, with people who have immigrated here.) especially because of the way some people in North America treat minorities.

It was a fucking joke! Not a racist remark. There is a fucking difference between saying that the dumb-asses at the airport think that every middle-eastern-looking person looks like a terrorist and saying that every middle-easterner looks like a terrorist. And by the way…nothing ever stopped you from making your nim-witted remarks about Texans. Did I cry a fucking river? Hell no. It wouldn’t hurt for you to laugh every once in a while…even if it is at your expense.
