Kinick: you seem to only say negative things since you signed up here. It started with Death Proof (which I dont love either) and its continuing with Bastards. Personally I feel like all you want to do is talk negatively about QT. Sorry, but thats how I feel. You sound like you dont like anything about the movie anyways. So what is your main goal here? Are you waiting to like something or are you planning on railing on this film until you see it? Just wondering so I know to not bug you anymore.
I’m anticipating what was hyped up to be the biggest ambitious project of his career. I’m a major fan of everything QT done in the 90’s and I like Kill Bill too. To me, DP was a major step downwards on the QT excito-meter… I just don’t want IB to follow in that trend. At this point I’ll accept anything medicore or even at the level of Kill Bill.

I didnt say she was amazing. I just said she was decent. She was just playing herself pretty much anyways and shes not an actress to begin with. Gotta put it in context.

True. And at least there was a specific reason why QT wanted to cast Zoe, as the role required extensive stuntwork. This is not the case with Eli Roth.
Scar: Only thing I can say on Roth is, he mustve impressed QT enough to get the role. QT wouldnt cast him just because theyre friends. If he cant act well, it will ruin the movie.
on a sidenote, RR has so far cast Fergie, Enrique Iglesias and Harry Knowles in his movies. nobody bitched about that

woah woah i know you don’t like RR much, but don’t tell me nobody cares about desperado, sin city, planet terror etc… since when are we calling them stupid movies? did I miss something? last I checked this website was partially built upon the fanbase of the RR-QT “axis of geekdom”
RR has his fans, but you know Im not one of em. Hes made a couple movies I like, thats about it. Sorry RR fans. I came here as a QT fan. The RR/QT team up thing wasnt the reason.

ye lol i looked at the script again, the Donny Don… I mean Eli Roth’s charakter ( xD ) in particular, and yeah its like a really impressive charakter. I mean, if pulled off well people will cheer for him whenever he’s on screen. Especially his first scenes are truly amazing, shocking and just really cool, i think it’s one of the charakters next to Aldo The Apache and The Jew Hunter that will definately stand out. I think you guys are right, if Eli fucks it up, it could fuck up the whole film. Or at least those sequences he’s involved in. So, yeah, I trust Quentin. I think it will be alright. At least Eli REALLY sorta resembles a Bear Jew. I mean he’s a jew, very muscular and very very hairy xD It really kinda does make sense casting him. And Donny is also a pretty simple minded charakter. Of course he has some emotional aspects, such as the whole baseball bat story, but i think Eli is enough of an “actor” do pull it off. Donny is not a stupid person, but a very sort of conservative revenge taker.
After we see this movie we’re gonna want to be Jewish!

When you think about it, theres never been a WWII movie where Jewish soldiers go after Nazis. (None I can remember seeing anyway). Theyre always the ones being fucked with. Thats why its gonna be a great thing to see The Jewish dudes going off on the Nazi scum.
