Texas blood money

This is the first time i have ever heard the opinion that hangmans daughter is better, its just part 1 as a western, at least blood money brings something new and is shot well.

a few other people here have said they think the same thing…

truth be told this is the first time ive seen someone say blood money is better…

Lol on all the horror forums like bloody disgusting it is completely different.

I always hear part III is better…

I still cant see how most people on this forum are fans of the grindhouse genre of movie yet dislike part 2. Its like a 1980’s/ 70s grindhouse movie made in the 90s. No its not the greatest, but taken that the film is going to be bad in the first place, should make it enjoyable. I mean what where you expecting from a straight to video sequel to a great film? Its good for what it was. This was a solid B movie. Plot sucked, yes! but like most B movies the plots do suck but they are still enjoyable and fun to watch.

hmmm im starting to think i should watch it again… it could be that i didnt appreciate its B movie-ness because the original was so good… Still I do remember likeing hangman’s daughter more… Actually smeg it… I may just watch them all…

yea, the second time i like it a whole lot better. Watch it as if it is a film of its own.

I thought Texas Blood Money had one of the worst directing efforts I have ever seen. It has so many weird camera placements which Scott Spiegel probably thought were cool but just ended up lame. Like the camera placed on the rotating fan in the beginning or the camera in the ice cooler - lame. It had some funny moments though, like when the gangsters were talking about porn. And Robert Patrick was cool as hell in it. Other than that, I prefer Hangman’s Daughter. The first part of the movie is cool as fuck and Michael Parks is brilliant as always.

Yea, i found them crazy angles cool, they were probably influenced by raimi because raimi trained him. On the other hand intruder had some pretty crazy shots like that too, and is a masterpeice of the slasher genre.

that’s why I still think part 3 was the best because PJ Pesce did an awesome spaghetti western homage…

part 2 was just too experimental even for a trashy straigh to video camp fun

Duane Whitaker is a good actor but he often get parts in movies were his talent don’t get that it’s worth. But he did indeed do very well in Eddie Presley and Pulp Fiction.
