maybe someone can help me out summarizing the QT Film Fest days

ut

<LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.ph … _Film_Fest”>http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.php/The_QT_Film_Fest</LINK_TEXT>

I started to summarize the coverage a little using the reports from people, but I am too busy to finish that work. Maybe someone who likes to write can do that, fill in a few links an pictures etc…

let’s make Grind House the first film that will exclusively be covered in the Wiki, help and input is appreciated

#6

Id help but I still cant get into the wiki because of cookie problems. Sorry.

#7

weird problem. maybe if you like you could compile all the ‘facts’ about the film we know at this point, and post it into a “grind house: the hard facts” topic in the grind house section and from that i will use the info and put it into the wiki. basically, all the information in bullet list style of what is really known to be fact…

#8

Ok Ill try to work on it.

#9

i’m having problems uploading images at the moment.

however, i am now into the rest of the exams so no more wiki work for me for the next couple of days. wish me luck fellas.

maybe i’ll work on the wiki pages a little come next week

#10

Good luck Sebber!

#11

Wish you luck

<LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.ph … onelypages”>http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.php/Special:Lonelypages</LINK_TEXT>

maybe someone wants to take care of that.

i made some fixes to the books section today. please don’t mess up to the links to the book pages…

#13

btw plans are on the way to make the wiki look like the forum and main site. the white is nice, but we’re not the fucking wikipedia and the wiki should look in line with the forum…

with plans on the way i mean to say that i will at some dark hour of night start drinking coffee and work on that…

after some consultations, me and Lode (Marc B.) started to overhaul the Death Proof and and Planet Terror DVD pages in The Archives. We’re not quite done so I please hold on but once we are, these two will serve as models as to how the others should look like, as well. So whoever wants can then just copy the formatting wiki code and pimp up the other pages.

Please note that many of the dvd pages still lack essential information (technical specifications, extras, amazon links, good quality dvd covers in about 140px wide size) and there are many dvd releases even still missing! that info feel free too add. it would just be unfortunate if we decided to make changes to the look after it’s been copied to several pages, that would increase the workload.

I’m posting this because there have been questions about what actually needed to be worked on.

we’re also in need of making some conceptual changes. it is currently a little hard to find things if you don’t know where to click yourself through so ideas are welcome. Making the search field more prominent is one thing, and overhauling the “browse all” page would be another…

#15

I know The Archives are still somehow not a very attractive thing for anyone to work at… but I still haven’t given up.

tonight I played around with a new idea on how to improve the user experience

at <LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.ph … _Till_Dawn”>http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.php/From_Dusk_Till_Dawn</LINK_TEXT>

I tried a consistent menu that would actually be on all FDTD pages. the poster could be shrunk even more so it would use less space, and at the top there could be a “back to all movies” link or something.

the goal would be to make it really easy and intuitive for people to surf The Archives, and nobody ends up in dead ends…

feedback? ideas?

#16

Excellent Seb! That makes it easier to sift through what you want to find/what you’ve found.

#17

made some changes to the from dusk till dawn pages. let me knwo what u think. bigger menu with poster and all options on the main page, smaller menu with essential links on the essential sub pages.

#18

Looks good. But, is this page messed up for anyone else, or is it just me?

<LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.ph … l_Dawn/DVD”>http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.php/From_Dusk_Till_Dawn/DVD</LINK_TEXT>

#19

also extended the menus to the kill bill and ib pages. we’ve made some other improvements, and there’ll be more.

why, geoi, what’s messed up, can u send me a screenshot? btw if you’re using internet explorer 6 dont even start complaining

#20

no, I use IE 7. It just has the menu overlapping the boxes.
