A lot of people especially the conservative media like Fox News and the NY Post has been ripping on Oliver Stone for this and it makes me sick.
I guess it shows that we live in a society in which people care more about a director’s private habits more then they care about the fact our President has gotten us into another Vietnam! Do I Care that Stone is a cocaine addict? No. Does it impact my opinion of the man? no.
He is STILL an Oscar Winning Director and He is still the best director to accurately convey the American Spirit and Soul.
Be warned people I’m Back. I’ve changed and I’m not the little pretentious shit anymore. I apologize for acting like a jackass in the past. I’ve rewatched Kill Bill volume 1 and seen 2. I like Volume 2 better(more character story etc)
As far as my controversial comment about that Tarantino should take notes from Stone on how to make a war film. I apologize if it came out wrongly but what I MEANT to say was I feel that QT should look to the following 3 films for INSPIRATION: Platoon, Born on the 4th of July and Heaven and Earth. Sure, they are different wars but i feel these films are some of the greatest war films ever made. If QT likes one in paticular he could homage it.
