reputable agents know the right people to get the script to - it is all part of the system - you are going to have to pay some asshole a cut of your potential profits just for knowing someone - it sucks, but it is a fact of life. Sure, some guys get lucky and open the right door - but usually they were just in the right place at the right time - I wouldn’t be banking my future on luck if screenwriting was my game -
