but to be honest im also quite sad. the fact of the matter is that this type of cinema and presentation seems to be no match for the popularity of such films as mama mia, the sex and the city movie and fucking transporter 3?! and so is scrapped because of funding. i dont know about yous but i really take pity on the world for their lack of culture and appreciation for true cinema.
anyway ive been intrigued and so i will want to see the rest of the offerings by the rtp offerings while i still can.
ps seb i would rather own the rtp dvd then the criterion version, what do you think?

Man I know how you feel, such a great film, and I’m yet to see the RTP version! One thing I would say as much as these kind of films aren’t what the general majority want, there are still loads of awesome films out there like it, especially from the director himself, films he has made since that I’ve seen are Fallen Angels (my personal favourite out of all of his), Fallen Angels (1995 - my personal fave) • Happy Together (1997) • In the Mood for Love (2000) • 2046 (2004) • My Blueberry Nights (2007), all of which are awesome, with the weakest being the recent My blueberry nights.
