CON: Red Sonja

Looking cool. Kinda looking forward to this. Now if Robert finishes Machete, then move sonto SC2, I’ll be happy.

Watch. It. Tank.

I am a fan of Rose, but I don’t think she can carry a movie on her own. I do like the posters for it.

The plot’s finally been revealed.

…the movie will follow Sonja’s transformation from a victim of savagery to the “Red Goddess

’ Blade of Justice”. She teams with mischievous childhood friend Cyrus and mentor Ozzyus to hack her way through the forces of evil Kulan Gath and exact revenge for the brutal slaying of her family.

If you click the link below there’s a poster for the movie that has a much more detailed synopsis of the film. In fact it’s more like a treatment, as it seems to loosely tell the film’s entire story. So beware of spoilers.

Is the fact that I understood every word of that a sign that I spend too much time on the internet?

LOL! Prolly

i think sin city 2 is dead not going to happen just like this pile of shit robert is just be a dick right now

It’s funny how many people are so quick to jump all over Robert about Sin City 2. It was first delayed because they wanted to wait for Angelina Jolie to become available so he did Planet Terror in the down time. Grindhouse, and many other Weinstein movies flopped which caused them to re-evaluate their methods. Rather then sit around and wait Frank Miller started work on The Spirit and Rodriguez starts work on Shorts.

Since Sin City 2 will have a rather large cast of high profile actors again it’s more than likely gonna take some time to work out all the contracts and put together a shooting schedule that works for everybody. Miller at this year’s comic con made it pretty clear that they’re working on it next though, so just be patient.

[/quote]no one is jump all over robert it just he try way to hard to push rose right now and one one is buy her as alead lady any movie he just got though he head on want to work with her

or use her she is not a money maker grindhoue shows this she cant not out ass in seats

I don’t think Grind house failed because of Rose McGowan. It failed because it just didn’t appeal to main stream audiences. It’s just a simple fact that not many people are interested in sitting through two movies that look bad on purpose. I think poor word of mouth hurt the film too. Tarantino doing a horror movie should have been a really big deal but word got out that the scariest thing he could come up with was a bunch of girls talking for an hour and a half.

Rose McGowan is on the mend after suffering a serious on-set injury while shooting Red Sonja that required…well, let Rose explain:

“I had wrist and elbow surgery and they took part of my elbow out. I had really bad nerve damage from doing stunts-I do a lot of my own stunts,” McGowan tells Fox News’ Pop Tarts. “I could no longer use my arm, but now I can hold a fork and drive so we’re working our way up. It’ll probably be another six months of rehab, but it’s the price you pay for being really limber and being able to do back flips!”

Production on the comic-book adaptation, helmed by fiancé Robert Rodriguez, has been halted while the 35-year-old actress recovers. And she’s starting to feel stir-crazy.

“Starting 2 want to work again. Sometimes real life f***ing sucks. That’s all. God bless us survivors,” she recently tweeted.

Presuming McGowan’s arm is healed in time, Red Sonja should be in theaters in late 2010.

Oh no :frowning:

I love how twitter became the most powerful and reliable source of information in 2 months !

Poor bird though (not talking about the tweet bird, but the McGowan one now).

Robert tweeted this morning that he crashed and blew up a car in Austin yesterday. I’m assuming he was referring to a movie…

Oh yeah. I read it. It took me a while to understand what he was talking about

Looks like this thing is pretty close to officially dead. Here’s what Joblo.com has to say about it:

That kinda sucks, but it kinda doesn’t. As much as I think Robert could do Red Sonja justice, I don’t care that much.
