Resident Evil: Extinction 9/21/07 (Trailer)

I can’t believe they are making a third. Who watches these films. I mean regular Mr. and Mrs. Average can’t be interested in movies based on video games. Nor can they be interested in a sequel following two VERY BAD films. I doubt they will be lured in by the ambiguous previews that show no plot whatsoever.

Most importantly they can’t want to see a movie called Resident Evil. Its just a lame name. Especially considering only the first game involved a residency!

So who the hell is going to go see this turd directed by a no good hack!

That being said, I’m going to see it.

I have no right to be talking trash about this movie since I havent seen the first one but this movie does look pretty bad.

Aww AWWW… you want to know why they are making a third one? its because they have actually been making some money… because people go to see them for no reason like this…

( the first three games had the residency… they had all this cool stuff like adorable b movie acting and allusions to classic zombie films and alien, but these films are just awful… )

That’s the problem with you guys, who takes these films seriously, you go to the theatre put on your dunce hat and enjoy the inane action, and flying boobs. I can’t beleive you guys even take these films seriously, that’s what I love about them, they’re mindless, great fun. And as far as the name Resident Evil goes, that’s just a pretty lame adaptation name for North America, in reality the whole franchise is known as “Biohazard”, hence my screen name. But c’mon just go watch it, it won’t disappoint you, you’re telling me you would rather watch some bullshit films fed to you by hollywood fags, like that Brokeback Mountain shit, fuck no, I spit on those fuckers. And if this movie makes a lot of money, we’re gonna see that George A. Romero movie alot sooner (Diary of The Dead). So it really benefits the genre a whole lot.

I thought the first one was decent, but the second one was pretty

unmemorable. I might watch this one if a friend rents it when it

comes out on DVD or if Netflix makes it one of there "watch online"

movies but that’s about it. I’ve just never been a fan of the Sci-Fi

horror genre.

As far as films that are fed to us by Hollywood, what do you consider

Resident Evil? I mean they already play commercials for it non-stop

and the thing doesn’t come out for like two weeks. The Resident Evil

movies are ten times more Hollywood than the independently made

Brokeback Mountain. Or are you just ripping on it because it’s about

gay guys?

I got nothing against the geyzzz, for lack of a better word. But personally if zombies are glorified into mega-hollywood pouplarity status - (whatever that means), i’m one happy camper. It’s bad that Romero isin’t recognized for the genre that he invented, but at least the genre itself is recognized, eventhough its brought to us by the industry that Romero himself despises so much, the irony, it kills me! But hey, whatever as long as this wonderful and artistic genre dosen’t disappear into the bowels of obscurity i’m happy. Now personally i’m not saying that the Resident Evil franchise is the best thing that has ever happened, i’m still a true and loyal fan of George A. Romero, and his zombie films are the best. But again I just enjoy the craziness involved in RE, I grew up with the games and discovered the films through it. And as far as indipendent production goes, you rarely see any horror movies, now all they try to do is win a fucking Oscar with their boring films, and that I could REALLY care less about. If you name a single horror indipendent film released this year, you will see that I’m right. Hollywood is just taking over, it’s sad but true.

You’re looking forward to the film just because you have a stupid crush on Milla. Admit it, you sex crazed maniac! I wonder if you’d share the same enthusiasm if Rosie O’Donnell was in the lead.

I’m sorry but i have to poop on this movie.

Are the things in Resident Evil supposed to be zombies? Cause I

always thought they were mutants. They look like the people

from the Hills have Eyes. And why does everyone say that Romero

invented zombie movies?

There was movies with zombies before Night of the Living Dead, but I think he was the guy who really started what we know as the zombie hordes vs humans subgenre of horror movies.

yea true, but then again not true. Vincent Price film “Last man on earth” had the same concept of night of the living dead SPOILERS and nearly the same ending, worst enemy being man not the zombies SPOILERS END. The only difference is was that film had vampires, but in general they where zombies who just where killed/afraid of the same things like mirrors, garlic exc. . IMO Romero is responsible for alot more like for example the “head shot” or severed head kill, the infection being spread from person to person, lighting on fire, the actual Biting, where as alot of the earlier zombie films had the zombies as ghoulish slaves sorta.

I think Last Man on Earth was actually disease infected people, more like Planet Terror, so they werent actual zombies per se. Im sure that film was a big influence on NOTLD though no doubt.

When people think of zombie movies, they naturally think of Romero simply because he was the guy who made them popular.

The original games had classic zombies… which were actually sensible in how they worked ( like for example they didn’t run at you but could be fast close up for short bursts and it took a long time to turn into a zombie if your still alive ) and they were creepy… the things in the movies aren’t even really zombies… they full blown run at you… they are barely decomposed… they overuse tools and apparently if they even scratch you turn into a zombie in like ten minutes… I don’t accept these films as resident evil… there were so many good things about the original games that were not recognized… so if the films are fun on there own level its hard for me to see it…

That was actually one of the worst adaptations from Richard Matheson’s “I am legend”, which was also a huge inspiration for George, in the Dawn Of The Dead Ultimate edition special features disc he mentions how it inspired him to write a short script entitled, “Night of Anubis”, which later evolved into The Night Of the flesh eaters with his writing partner John Russo. What Romero brought was a complete different concept, he made the ghouls- (at the time) flesheaters, but also build the story around news reports which made his film even more realistic. Disbeleif was suspended in this film because of the news reports, it almost has that documentary feeling to it, it is such a down to earth simulation of what would happen if this pandemic actually happened. Tha technique alone generated a subgenre that has lasted until now. Just look at all the zombie movies with news coverage and so forth. Before this even happened zombies were voodoo based creatures with no cognition of life, they were basically souless beings working as slaves for their master.

What happens when WWE + Resident Evil = Me crying. Me so happy!

Just a few more hours till’ the big release tomorrow, I’m going to see it all day, from dusk till’ dawn - then i’ll throw in my bitchen review on the biggest movie of the year, Resident Evil: Extinction!!!

MillaJ will rock the box office - you’ll see!

Haha Scarface is so right:

Admit it! ADMIT IT!

I genuinely like Resident Evil and MillaJ, but not in that crazy way, it’s more admiration than love, for example I’m sure all of you people here feel the same way about QT. I like QT too, but in a non-gay way.

I finally saw this not once but twice, and let me tell you, this movie is actually better than Apocalypse. The film opens (I don’t think anyone saw this - so I’ll throw in a few spoilers) with an Alice clone - yes one of the best things in this film is the use of many Alice clones, never have I seen so many clones in a movie, well at least this gorgeous. Anyway the movie takes place five years after the initial Apocalypse episode, now the T - virus has consumed the entire world (its never explained how this happened), which is fine by me, and now Claire and her convoy of survivors drive around for almost the entire movie trying to gather supplies, which are running out quickly. Like past Resident Evil films, this one also lacks story, character development and coherence, all of them symptoms of bad writing(Paul WS Anderson). But putting all of that aside there are still great action scenes, one in particular - which is the crow sequence, I though it was superbly handled and choreographed, and it is the best action sequence in the movie. There really isin’t anything to work with here, there is very little drama, very little dialogue, and too many scenes where zombie pop out of nowhere, but overall the movie looks good, the action is decent and it has great special effects, all of these traits are pretty much what the movie should be about and it delivers. But seriously, if Milla weren’t in this I would totally stay away from this. God why is Paul WS Anderson still writing, he ruined everything!!! All this hype for nothing! - But its mildly good, and short - I guess I have mixed feelings, I hate it and love it.

Ha ha sounds like shit, I wonder if you like that turd Ultraviolet just cause it has MJ!

This line made me laugh!
