He actually made the scene look better than Dario Argento himself. I heard the commentary for the Sin City dvd, and after I watched Suspiria, QT hands down beat Argento. But the thing is, the use of light and color was taken directly from Mario Bava. If you look at Blood and Black Lace or Planet Of The Vampires you’ll know what I’m talking about.
