I think WinslowLeach’s reputation (if he had one) has just gone down the drain with that comment. I mean shit, nobody should take him seriously after that. That is just one of the most retarded things I’ve ever heard.
Also, this whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. I like Lucas a lot, but I sure as hell won’t put him up there with Tarantino or Scorsese. I just named him in my little list for two reasons, 1) to show Winslow how much I think of De Palma, and 2) to piss Winslow off, and I think it has worked. Naming Lucas was a purposeful exageration (hence why i said “I much prefer QT, Scorsese, Leone, Kubrick, Copolla and even Lucas above DePalma” when citing those I prefer over De Palma) on my part, just so I could get my point across, but Winslow has taken that one little thing I said and called me out on it. Notice how he hasn’t caled me out on the other stuff and how he is YET to tell us exactly why De Palma is better than Hitchcock.
Also, I think Winslow is a bit confused, as he seems to be fucking up everything he says.
