I don’t think QT will ever quit. Guys like William Wyler, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Billy Wilder, etc, etc. died doing what they loved best. Hell, Robert Altman died a little after finishing his movie with PT. I think he loves the sweat too much to quit that soon.
