i don’t know how stupid this is gonna sounds but i thought the bride was lieing to Elle about it being a hanzo sword as there was no hattori hanzo emblem on it just an inscription. maybe bill made the sword while training with Hattori Hanzo (you know the training most probally included making a sword of your own) and gave it to bud for a present. And pawned the sword because he gave up the business. i always thought budd was a straight up character that wouldn’t lie to hurt some one i think he would tell the truth.
