Tarantino plans to work on the Vol1&2 uninterrupted Kill Bill version right after the holiday season, and he also plans to release the DVD package.

"I want to cut the whole movie together like one big epic with an intermission in the middle like a 60s film. It’ll be coming out in theatres. I’ve been holding off because I’ve been working on it for so long that I just wanted a year off from Kill Bill and then I’ll do the big supplementary DVD package."

Good news, I really hope we’ll see this dvd one day…

woohoo  About smeggin’ time. Can’t wait. In the meantime, there’s the marathon on Encore, that’ll show all of his movies back-to-back, on Christmas day.

Yeah I’m looking forward to that—If I get the time.

Madsen’s hosting it.

I hope this Kill Bill DVD is as good as or better than the super duper Sin City DVD is everybody is raving about. I want a QT commentary and a shit load of extras. Thank you.

just ordered that sin City dvd, can’t wait till i get it. i hope QT and his crew put together some kick ass dvd as well, i don’t really think this “kill bill in one sitting” is all that important, i mean, if you have an intermission, or if you switch DVDs, the difference isn’t thaaaat big, but a great dvd set, oh my, that would rock.

And then you have the HOBL scene in colour (which I already own, but stil) and the few seconds of footage he cut from Vol. 2

Shit load of extras will most likely be including. But the verdict’s still out if QT will do a commentary for one of his OWN movies.

Regardless, this is still my dream release.

a few seconds cut from kill bill volume 2???

#11

no. vol2 has some slight alterations but no REAL cuts. if you go to www.tarantino.info and navigate yourself to the kill bill section you’ll find a cut by cut comparison

#12

GREAT! Does supplementary mean “loads of extras”? :-</E>
As any Quentin Tarantino fan knows, revenge is sweet. With that in mind, the Oscar-winning writer/director hopes that it will be even sweeter the second time around. “I’ll be coming out with ‘Kill Bill,’ the whole movie all together,” he revealed recently. “Not just volume one and volume two next to each other, but cut together like one big epic, and with the intermission in the middle of it, like a '60s film. We’ll be coming out in the theaters with that, and then it will be coming out on DVD.” After the epic viewing experience, fans can look forward to tossing away their old “Bill” DVDs in disgust, but Tarantino promises that it will be worth it when his collector’s edition replaces them on their shelves. "I’ve been holding off, because I worked on it for so long that it was like, ‘OK, I just want a year where I’m not thinking about “Kill Bill” … let me just have a year of no “Kill Bill,” and then I’ll do the big supplementary DVD package.’ " …
