So Angel, if you’re reading this…and to anybody else who cares:
I’ve seen 7 Cassavetes movies now, all on the big screen (and for free, otherwise I wouldn’t have watched that many)
One was great (A Woman Under the Influence)
2 were acceptable (A Child is Waiting, The Chilling of a Burmese Cookie)
4 were horrible (Shadows, Faces, Opening Night, Love Streams)
not a good average, not at all.

Haha, I thought something like that. But I’m surprised you thought The Killing of a Chinese Bookie was acceptable. Did you watch the long cut or Cassavetes’ edited-down cut? When that film premiered people hated, and I mean HATED it. They left the cinema and went around warning people about to go in to see another film. That’s why he ended up cutting it. So it’s funny that you liked that one more than Shadows, Faces, Opening Night and Love Streams.
