I’ve never seen a Mikio Naruse film, but I was just about to buy the box set from Eureka because I have a feeling I’d love his films.
You definitely need to see an Ozu film though (he IS Shochiku, they are one and the same) and an Edward Yang film. He just died last year so it’s a good time to watch his films.
