your selection of software looks a bit random to me.
for example, why recommend windows live messenger? why not recommend Gaim or Miranda? both open source and capable of all protocols out there.
why not recommend VLC player instead of those windows media players?
why recommend MS office? what about openoffice? it’s free!
why AdAware and SpywareBlaster if you already have a firewall, virusshield and Firefox?
missing from your list would be something like Thunderbird for example, peer guardian 2, and The Gimp etc
