I think, the entire site www.mtv.com is down at the moment.

Why do I get the cringe worthy feeling that 50 First Dates is going to sweep the mtv movie awards. Its such an awful, awful movie and its nominated for, like, five of the awards. I had almost completely forgotten about it until this shit came up.

It worked from Talk Entertainment. Try clicking on that link then drilling down to the awards article. Click on News, then scroll, down to where you see the features. It will be the Third one.

Fuck MTV and it’s award show. MTV has been gay ever since they did away with “Yo MTV Raps” and “Headbanger’s Ball” .

when is the movie awards?

At least vote EVERYDAY for the Kill Bill award nominations. Let’s make Kill Bill WIN!!!

how is it fucking possible that the HOBL fight isnt nominated, but the Gogo fight is? Don’t get me wrong, the Gogo fight rules, but come on. The people at MTV are fucking idiots. Every category reeks of smelly bullshit freshly pinched out of a bisons sweaty asshole.

I’d go vote for Kill Bill, but I can’t bring myself to participate in anything related to MTV. I hate MTV with a seething passion.

i voted

do i need to clear my cookies to vote again?

MTV murdered music.

elWhite, hell yeah it did. >:(

At least they were smart enough to give Kill Bill some recognition.

I remember when they nominated the Matrix for the helocopter scene and not the Lobby Shootout! Stupidity.

I wish MTV still had that weird but cool Aeon Flux. More stupidity.

Kano talks to Lana, Lana studies Kano as he talks. The Mtv movie awards are fun to watch in my opinion. They do short remakes of movies which can be some of the funniest skits youll see all year. I voted a bunch of times for THE KILL BILLNESS.

Fuck MTV and their retarded fucking awards.

BEST MOVIE

50 First Dates (Sony Pictures)

Finding Nemo (Walt Disney Pictures)

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (New Line Cinema)

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (Walt Disney

Pictures)

X2: X-Men United (20th Century Fox)

NOTE: Why wasn’t Kill Bill Vol.1 nominated here? 50 First Dates? I’ll go with Return Of The King to win here.

BEST MALE PERFORMANCE

Adam Sandler - 50 First Dates (Sony Pictures)

Bill Murray - Lost in Translation (Focus Features)

Johnny Depp - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

(Walt Disney Pictures)

Tom Cruise - The Last Samurai (Warner Bros.)

Jim Caviezel - The Passion of the Christ (Newmarket Film Group) ÂÂ

NOTE: Bill Murray most likely will win here.

BEST FEMALE PERFORMANCE

Drew Barrymore - 50 First Dates (Sony Pictures)

Queen Latifah - Bringing Down the House (Touchstone Pictures)

Halle Berry - Gothika (Warner Bros.)

Uma Thurman - Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Miramax Films)

Charlize Theron - Monster (Newmarket Film Group)

NOTE: The obvious choice would be Charlize, but this is MTV so I wouldn’t be shocked if Uma won. How does Halle Berry get nominated for Gothika? You got to be kidding me.

BEST COMEDIC PERFORMANCE

Jim Carrey - Bruce Almighty (Universal Pictures)

Will Ferrell - Elf (New Line Cinema)

Ellen DeGeneres - Finding Nemo (Walt Disney Pictures)

Johnny Depp - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

(Walt Disney Pictures)

Jack Black - School of Rock (Paramount Pictures)

NOTE: This is set up for Jim Carrey to win.

BEST ON-SCREEN TEAM

Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore - 50 First Dates (Sony Pictures)

Will Smith/Martin Lawrence - Bad Boys II (Sony Pictures)

Johnny Depp/Orlando Bloom - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the

Black Pearl (Walt Disney Pictures)

Jack Black and the School of Rock “Band” - School of Rock

(Paramount Pictures)

Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson - Starsky & Hutch (Warner Bros.)

NOTE: MTV must really like 50 First dates. This shit is nominated too many times already. Stiller and Wilson will most likely win here.

BEST VILLAIN

Demi Moore - Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (Sony Pictures)

Lucy Liu - Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Miramax Films)

Kiefer Sutherland - Phone Booth (20th Century Fox)

Geoffrey Rush - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

(Walt Disney Pictures)

Leatherface - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (New Line Cinema)

NOTE: Watch them give this shit to Leatherface when Lucy should get her due.

BREAKTHROUGH MALE

Ludacris - 2 Fast 2 Furious (Universal Pictures)

Cillian Murphy - 28 Days Later (Fox Searchlight)

Shia LaBeouf - Holes (Walt Disney Pictures)

Shawn Ashmore - X2: X-Men United (20th Century Fox)

Omarion - You Got Served (Screen Gems)

NOTE:  Ludacris? C’mon. I’ll go with Cillian Murphy.

BREAKTHROUGH FEMALE

Lindsay Lohan - Freaky Friday (Walt Disney Pictures)

Scarlett Johansson - Lost in Translation (Focus Features)

Keira Knightley - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

(Walt Disney Pictures)

Jessica Biel - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (New Line Cinema)

Evan Rachel Wood - Thirteen (Fox Searchlight)

NOTE: Johansson wins this all the way.

BEST KISS

Jim Carrey & Jennifer Aniston - Bruce Almighty (Universal Pictures)

Keanu Reeves & Monica Bellucci - The Matrix: Reloaded (Warner Bros.)

Charlize Theron & Christina Ricci - Monster (Newmarket Film Group)

Owen Wilson & Carmen Electra & Amy Smart - Starsky & Hutch (Warner Bros.)

Shawn Ashmore & Anna Paquin - X2: X-Men United (20th Century Fox)

NOTE: They should just get rid of this stupid award. I’ll go with Monica Bellucci kissing Reeves just on principle, because Monica kissing period on screen in a beautiful thing.

BEST ACTION SEQUENCE

Intercoastal Freeway Pursuit - Bad Boys II (Sony Pictures)

Escape from Mongolia - Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (Sony Pictures)

Battle at Gondor - The Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King

(New Line Cinema)

Champion Crane Chase - Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (Warner Bros.)

NOTE: Notice how the Matrix Reloaded freeway chase isn’t even nominated yet that Bad Boys bullshit gets noninated instead. I’ll go with the Battle At Gondor.

BEST FIGHT

Queen Latifah vs. Missi Pyle - Bringing Down the House

(Touchstone Pictures)

Uma Thurman vs. Chiaki Kuriyama - Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Miramax Films)

Keanu Reeves vs. Hugo Weaving - The Matrix: Reloaded (Warner Bros.)

The Rock vs. Kontiki Rebels - The Rundown (Universal Pictures)

Hugh Jackman vs. Kelly Hu - X2: X-Men United (20th Century Fox)

NOTE: This should’ve loaded with Kill Bill stuff. To only have the Thurman/Kuriyama fight in there is a insult. They should’ve had Thurman/Fox in there, Thurman/Crazy 88 in there and Thurman/Liu in there. Latifah/Pyle?  ::slight_smile: Anyway, watch them hand the award to the boring and pointless Reeves/Weaving computer fight.

BEST DANCE SEQUENCE

Ben Stiller & Jennifer Aniston - Along Came Polly (Universal Pictures) -

"Hot Salsa Dance"

Seann William Scott - American Wedding (Universal Pictures) -

"Disco Dance Off"

Steve Martin - Bringing Down the House (Touchstone Pictures) -

"In da Club"

Drew Barrymore/Cameron Diaz/Lucy Liu - Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle

(Sony Pictures) - "Burlesque Revue"

Omarion, Marques Houston and the Lil Saints’ Dance Crew - You Got Served

(Screen Gems) - "The Big Bounce"

NOTE: Any dance number that involves Lucy Liu shaking her ass is a plus with me. That’s my vote.

These awards are so dumb. I’ll bet a Hattori Hanzo sword’s worth of money that either Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey is going to win something. An award goes to either Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey every year. Who chooses these nominees anyway? The nominees are always the stars and the blockbusters. They nominate the people that are going to attract more sponsers.

Like Jim Carrey said on the awards when he won a few years ago. MTV does it to make a quick shitload of money. They force stars to show up by offering an award and if they don’t show up people will think they’re ungrateful.

I cannot believe that the House of Blue Leaves isn’t up for best action sequence. Grumble. But they did win all three awards they were up for!
