The guy says it’s incomplete. Did he not see the “Vol. 1” attatched to the movie?

"Running time – 112 minutes"

Hot damn! That put a smile on my face! ;D That’s a good 18 minutes (including credits) tacked on from the previously reported 94 minutes. That leaves the running time at 1 hour and 52 minutes.

On the Ebert & Roeper at the movies website, it says that they are going to have an early review of Kill Bill on this weekend’s show. Just a heads up in case you want to catch the show. It is usually on Saturday, I don’t know what time though

Thanks for the early info. Im really anxious to see what Ebert and Doper, err Roeper think of Kill Bill. I think its either gonna be two thumbs up or Eberts gonna really like it and Roepers gonna complain about it. I hope Roeper surprises us and says “Awesome film”.

That Village Voice Kill Bill article is one of the best Ive read so far. That guy knows whats up! He even mentioned how QT is focusing on CINEMA, not the dialogue like usual. True Cinema isnt about dialogue its about telling the story thru the camera: atmosphere, editing, actions, visuals, sounds.

The House of Blue Leaves sequence sounds like some insanely beautiful cinema work.

Heres two particular paragraphs that I liked most from the NY Daily News article:

“He is arguably the most influential filmmaker of the '90s,” says Emanuel Levy, author of “Cinema of Outsiders: The Rise of American Independent Film.” "He popularized independent film more than any other director. As a result, all the critics got tired of having to say, ‘This is yet another Tarantino-esque movie.’"

For example, Levy adds, "Bryan Singer’s ‘The Usual Suspects’ owes its entire existence to Quentin Tarantino. It would not have been made, or had as much success, if it hadn’t been for him. I think that influence reaches all the way to more recent films like ‘Memento’ [2000]."

THATS FOR THE GUY RICHIE, SUICIDE KINGS, ETC ETC ETC FANS

Tarantino on his planned war epic:

"When I eventually make my World War II movie, ‘Inglorious Bastards,’ it will use Robert Aldrich’s ‘The Dirty Dozen’ and a lot of those late-'60s/early-'70s epic war movies as a starting-off point - pictures like ‘Where Eagles Dare.’

“More so even than ‘Kill Bill’ - it will be my true spaghetti Western-influenced film, but set in Nazi-occupied France instead of the Old West. I see it as a time when you had these no-man’s lands in Europe that really did resemble the Western landscapes of Sergio Leone [director of the Clint Eastwood ‘Dollars’ trilogy].”

TOTALLY AWESOME!!! 8)

MSNBC Interview with QT. Tarantino mentions his proudest moment in Vol. 1:

MSNBC News - Breaking News and News Today | Latest News

interesting interview. QT stood his ground on the fact that he made the movie he wanted to make even though this guy was dissing him in every other paragraph. He “was disappointed in the action at times?” wtf? thats the first time I’ve heard that. anyway, the last paragraph was so good I had to steal a line from it for my signature.

That MSNBC article was great! It’s good to see someone ask QT some tough questions and actually discuss the film rather than asking the same dumb questions about Video archives or whatever.
