“Harvey Weinstein, the co-chairman and founder of movie studio Miramax, is to receive an honorary CBE.
He is getting the award for services to UK film, the British Consul General in New York, Sir Thomas Harris said.
“I am delighted that Harvey Weinstein’s contribution to film-making in general, and the British cinema in particular, has been recognised,” he said.
Miramax has produced films including Cold Mountain, Shakespeare in Love and The English Patient.”
