An Alias episode? Have you seen Alias lately? M:I:III is the best film from the trilogy. Aside from the first two Mission Impossible movies, this one takes it into another level. The movie explores another side of Ethan Hunt that we’ve never seen before. This aspect of the movie adds more depth to his character. What I really enjoyed about this film was the mind-blowing action. Particularly the scene where the Philip Seymour Hoffman character is being escorted through the bridge, then the IMF agents are ambushed. But overall you’ll find the story or plot to be somewhat redundant to the other MI movies. You know the usual “traitor in the agency helping the enemy” ploy, and the old “Darkman technique” where the character disguises himself as the villian. But I guess all these things are becoming MI trademarks. - 7.8/10

The action scenes sucked in this movie. I’ve actually seen episodes of Power Rangers that had better action than in MI:3. Who cares if we get to see another side of Ethan; the script was bland, the story was basically nonexistant and above all it was just incredibly boring. And another similarity to Abram’s other shows was the whole “Rabbit’s Foot” device, which they really didn’t explain too well (similiar to the Hatch in Lost and the Rimbaldi Artifacts in Alias).
The most ridiculous scene in the film was when Hunt puts on the suit and pretends to be Philip Seymour Hoffman and has to wait 30 seconds just to tell his bodyguard to get out of the bathroom, when all he had to do was nod his head and motion him away with his hand. Lost and Alias aren’t the greatest shows ever (still pretty good though), but I’d rather watch two episodes of either than have to sit through this piece of shit again.
