Yes, I know. I wasn’t talking about that image.

I know, but any other of the pictures wouldn’t tell you anything about a visual style.
That was just an example to let you realize how your comment worked with your image.
QT changes his style from film to film. Whatever the vision is in his head is how it will look on the screen. We dont have to start comparing DP to his other films from 2 or 3 photos. Lets wait until we see the film as a whole first.

I don’t want to get on your nerves, be sure

Jesus Christ, do you ever give up?
Ok…
Check out that image. It’s a side view, and you see the famous car rip into another car. The fire looks awesome. The car at that point looks great. It’s something QT hasn’t done before. It seems he really wants to go further in the filming of action scenes. Given all the stuff thta happened in Kill Bill (as wel as all the stuff that was supposed to happen), this is very exciting.
Check where the camera is. The still-pic alone gives the impression of motion. You can just imagine how QT will pan in and around the car. The colours look great. It would still look good if it was in black and white.
Both very little things about Death Proof, but it IS something. I can’t help that i’m getting excited. Sue me.
could the car in a very small part of the kurt russell pic be a reference to kill bill?..I don’t know…just when i noticed the yellow with black stripes.
Black Mamba: If you check the Death Proof Pop Culture Connections topic you can see we brought up the Kill Bill connection already. Also, if you spot any other references that come to mind, post them all in there. Thanks!
Does anyone look at this picture and think of the scene that QT directed in Sin City?
Hmm…

Yah, I think QT learned alot from the making of that film and perhaps caught the bug to do a really razzle dazzle type film. It will be cool to see him do a special FX epic.
Im starting to wonder why its called grindhouse because it looks nothing like a low budget flick. Perhaps a name change is in order. OK, flame me now.

Its not about the look of the film, its whats on the film that counts. And the reason why Its called Grindhouse is because QT loves Exploitation films(like me) and also the movie was inspired by grindhouse type films(Dirty Mary,Crazy Larry/Vanishing Point)But you cant tell alot from a couple of photos.
