I really gave this one some thought. I don’t think I could re-cast it (btw, pretty sure “casted” isn’t a word :-*).
Naturally, would love to have seen Tim Roth in there somewhere… I guess Tommy’s the only real place I could see him. He does loveable schmuck well enough (at least, I’ve inferred that much from the debacle that is Four Rooms). And besides, he’s pretty much contractually obligated to end up in a pool of blood in each movie, so it fits.
But the idea of replacing anyone of the major players… pretty ghastly. There is no Bride like Uma… no other Bill… and Budd is a revelation. Madsen doesn’t get the credit he deserves. He’s one of those quietly magnificient actors.
Personally, I’d have loved to be Elle… but I’m too little… Uma could take me down in a second. lol
