Kill Bill as one Movie
That’s all good and well, but I thought Kill Bill was supposed to be artistic???
Depends on what you mean by artistic. Any creative process can be considered artistic. But do I hold KILL BILL in the same regard as I hold CITIZEN KANE, Roberto Rosellini’s OPEN CITY, Kurosawa’s SEVEN SAMURAI, or Leone’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN THES WEST, the answer is no. But the film as a whole comes very close to Leone’s film, for me, in emotional impact, epic scope and overall style.

For me, it is artistic in how Tarantino took, borrowed or paid homage to various disparite B movie sources and linked them up into one cohesive story. And that is very difficult to do successfully.
hey goatfish or whateve, do u think you could make another cut aswell. like this. have the opening of the normal cut but after she gets shot in the head cut to the “looked dead didnt i but i wasnt” speech and then the title seqence and chapter 1 or have the shoot in the head then do the title sequence then before chapter 1 have the looked dead didnt i, well i wasnt bit. cause i have allways loved that part and think 1 of the two places would work great. and then all the usual stuff like leaving out the cliffhanger ending about the kid and the plane with the list writing.

That’s interesting that you mentioned that. Because one of my close friends wants me to do a cut just like you mentioned above. When I have the time, I’ll do that for him.
