Oh, I’m an American too. My grandparents endured the Great Depression and fought in World War II. One of my great uncles was killed in Germany and another one was hit by grenade shrapnel while in Japan and had a limp for the rest of his life. I couldn’t imagine going through that and I wouldn’t want to. The world may owe them a debt of gratitude, but not me or any other American who wasn’t there.
