Jackie Brown

And back on topic…

Well that post was pointless.

Why don’t you discust Jackie Brown?

I’ve been on this board since you were still sucking on your momma’s tits (and that’s at least three years). So you apparently have no idea what you’re talking about.

actually, it’s not THAT important for me. I just don’t like being called a noob. Maybe you’ve been here a long time. But your profile says:

so, how should I know? sorry if you’ve been here for long. maybe you just created a new profile. if this is the case here, I apologize.

And I’m not a noob. And let’s get back on topic.

Why do you care so much if you’re a noob or not? I have never seen a member making such a fuss about nothing. And technically speaking, yes, you are a n00b. This forum dates back to 2002. You’ve been here since March of this year. That means you’ve only been here during the last 3% of its existence. That makes you a noob. Stop posting the same shit over and over. You’re just irritating people.

It’s also funny how you go off-topic everytime, then write “now back on topic” in the last sentence.

if you think I’m a noob, that’s fine, just keep it for you. I didn’t start this fuss.

ok. sorry for being a noob. sorry for going off topic. sorry for irritating people.

So you WERE being serious before? Fucking hell, dude. Ok, here’s the deal n00b, visualsynergy has been here longer than you’ll probably ever be here. He was known as IL_Buono before. If you don’t know about him, you are a king among n00bs.

And apologies accepted.

of course I’ve heard of Il Buono…I’m not THAT noob;) . I just couln’t guess out of the blue that Il Buono became visualsynergy. thanks for the info. so Il Buono/visualsynergy, I apologize.

Best friends 4eva!!

ahahaahahah if i can speak up my mind i don’t give a shit about being a noob it’s not like i’m going to wine to my friends saying “boohooohoo when will i stop being a noob on QTA” it’s not like turning into a fucking jedi or smg.

back to topic: the scene with love letter 23 by Brothers Johnson is one of my five favorite scene of all QT’s film. The use of music, the crane shot, the beat Sam Jackson gives to the scene and the routine between him and beaumont, it’s just pure and perfect cinema 8)

Thanks for accepting my apology, Ify.

You’re welcome.

You should be concerned about that though. All the veteran members have long turned into Jedi. But all this n00btalk will probably make the new n00bs smg’s, as in Sarah Michelle Gellar. So be afraid. Be very afraid.

JB is just fun to put on and have a relaxing time with, the more you watch it, the more you like the characters and just have a fun time

I like how the opening song conveys all of Jackie’s intentions “Doing what I had to do to survive, trying to get out of the ghetto with a day to day fight”. Anyway I really like the character arc in Jackie Brown. And not just that but the quality of dialogue and story, it’s really Quentin’s most mature and disciplined movie, and it just shows you the depth of his talent. I Like how in the interview he says, “I don’t have to be old to do that shit.” The dialogue scenes in his movies are so spontaneous and organic, it sort of feels like we’re intruding into these people’s personal lifes, it’s just that real. Can you tell I watched Jackie Brown today?

OMC: What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve seen a bar patron do?

PK: When I was the beverage manager at the W Hotel in Seattle, we used to get a lot of celebrities. Quentin Tarantino was in one time, and the server brought back his Cosmopolitan and said, “Mr. Tarantino says his Cosmopolitan is not cold enough. He wants his $7.50 back.”

I had just started my job there, so I said to the server, “Tell Mr. Tarantino that I saw ‘Jackie Brown’ and I want my $7.50 back.” The server decided to say that to Tarantino, and I almost lost my job the first week I was there.

Ahah. I think that guy will never dare discuss an order from a celebrity. :stuck_out_tongue:

What’s wrong with telling a director you don’t like his film? You have to be able to withstand criticism. Btw, What’s wrong with Jackie Brown? That movie is the shit!

I want to know why QT was ordering a cosmo. Isn’t that kind of girly drink for him? Its pink…

yeah plus his favorite drink is a bombay saphire and tonic

It is based off the book Rum Punch. Great movie
