Well her bastard “daughter” was so vengeful about Joan because of all the “abuse” - she decided to write some bullshit biopic that speaks of abuse done by Joan, and the crazy night raids with her adopted kids about the wire hangers. But it’s best to remember her by her excellent work, she began her Hollywood career as a dancer and worked her way up when she signed a 10 week contract with MGM. A real rags to riches story, and that woman did everything in her power to improve her craft as an actress, she came through in some silent films then made the movie Rain - which she made under a small Warner Bros. contract, but Mildred Pierce is by far the best performance of her career. She’s not some monster, she was a great actress and was very loyal to her fans.
